The Engine aims to fill the gaps between scientific and technological entrepreneurial activity, commercialization efforts, and regional economic development. Blending an accelerator, a network of technical facilities and expertise, and a fund, they seek to build an ecosystem where the world’s brightest innovators will find the comprehensive support they need to develop their biggest and most transformative ideas.

The Engine supports startup teams with bold ideas regardless of where they originated, and founders do not have to be affiliated with MIT to apply.
