CommonBond is a financial technology company on a mission to make student loans more transparent, simple and affordable. Combining competitive rates and award-winning customer service for both undergraduate and graduate students, CommonBond has created a better borrowing experience — and funded over $1.5 billion in student loans for tens of thousands of members. CommonBond For Business™ provides the most comprehensive suite of student loan benefits that enable companies to attract and retain the best employees in today’s workforce. And CommonBond is the first, and only, finance company with a “one-for-one” social mission: for every loan it funds, CommonBond also funds the education of a child in need, through its partnership with Pencils of Promise.

Join Sloan Women in Management for a conversation with Veena Ramaswamy, VP of Strategy at CommonBond. Veena will share CommonBond’s growth story and successes in scaling the company. Veena joined CommonBond after several years at Morgan Stanley, in the internal strategy and principal M&A group, working with the firm’s senior management on key strategic priorities. Prior to that, Veena spent time in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley working with universities and municipalities on debt financings for infrastructure projects. Veena graduated with a BS in Economics from MIT and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
