Join the next “From the Trenches” startup war story with a Venture Mentoring Service (VMS)-affiliated entrepreneur.
Guest speaker Steve Kelly, is a founder and former CEO of Myomo, Inc., a medical exoskeleton that restores arm and hand function after nerve or brain injuries. Over a span of 10 years, he filled numerous roles as the research project evolved into a startup and recently became the first Reg A IPO listed on the NYSE. Steve will share his lessons learned from launching a medical device company.
Myomo is Steve’s fifth successful startup exit spanning a variety of industry segments. He is an active member of the MIT mentor community and an NSF I-Corps instructor. Steve received a BS in Information Systems from Bentley College.
“From the Trenches” is a program of the MIT Venture Mentoring Service, an educational service that supports innovation and entrepreneurial activity for members of the MIT community.
The talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Light refreshments will be served.
