Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Innovation Initiative and Sloan School of Management will open a 50,000 square foot space to house a cross-disciplinary innovation and entrepreneurship lab. Located in Cambridge’s Kendall Square, InnovationHQ will offer students, alumni, faculty and staff a place to work, collaborate and create with six departments, lab space, an innovator’s lounge and a new space for music and arts innovation called Voxel Lab. The building will also house the MIT Alumni Venture Studio, the MIT Student Venture Studio and Sandbox Innovation Fund Program, all encouraging and creating space for entrepreneurship. The space was designed in collaboration with architects NADAAA and Perkins + Will.
