Domeyard is seeking a Quantitative Researcher with significant experience in developing low latency statistical arbitrage or market making strategies. You will be joining the core of a company with a single, monolithic HFT team. What you’ll be doing:

Building low latency liquidity taking or market making strategies from end-to-end. Developing mathematical models to solve difficult stochastic problems. Collaborating with researchers and developers to implement all of the above. You must meet both of these minimum requirements:

3+ years work experience in high-frequency trading at a leading hedge fund or proprietary trading firm. Experience with direct responsibility in construction of alpha signals or monetization for latency-sensitive, capacity-constrained strategies. In addition, here are some of the attributes that we’re looking for:

History of peer-reviewed publications in optimization, algorithms, statistics, numerical analysis, signal processing, operations research, or a related field. Graduate-level degree in any scientific, mathematical or engineering discipline. Programming experience with C++ in a UNIX-based environment. Experience using data analysis tools in Python or R. Intense passion for solving quantitative problems. Recent track record with low variance in PnL at high % of ADV. Working familiarity with low latency architecture. We launched our 1st product, Gita, in February 2017. You will be responsible for the electrical system architecture and design of our robotics and mobility platforms. This includes:

  • Developing power management systems, including: conceptual architecture, electrical schematics, capture circuit design, and PCB layout, and testing.
  • Planning, executing, and documenting tests to verify and validate performance, expose issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • You will work with an experienced electrical/software engineer that has already created the initial functionality of a prototype; you are expected to mature the ideas into robust designs

The entry-level Physical Design engineer owns the physical design of block layouts, custom elements, and top-level chip features starting with architecture feasibility through implementation and physical verification.

You will be challenged with:

  • Mapping complex processor blocks from specification or RTL to silicon
  • Using industry standard EDA tools for ASIC design such as Synopsys ICC and Cadence Encounter
  • Contributing to EDA tool methodology for custom design, synthesis, place & route, static timing analysis, physical verification, and power optimization
  • Creating production-worthy block layouts and special cells using the ASIC flow and/or custom design techniques
  • Applying knowledge of device and process technology to design problems
  • Applying familiarity with CPU and SOC architecture and I/O protocols and interfaces to design problems
  • Demonstrating proficiency using scripting languages such as Python, understanding and modifying Verilog, and development best practices

Senior Electrode Lead and Package Design Engineer
Micro-Leads

Micro-Leads is a fast paced startup Medical Device Company creating a high-resolution, implantable neuromodulation therapy as well as pre-clinical products for neuromodulation discovery.

Micro-Leads is seeking an Electrode Lead and Package Engineer to design implantable electrodes and methods for assembling and manufacturing the electrodes. The Process Development Engineer will perform precision electrode design (including laser micro-machining and micro-assembly) as well as the design of micro-packaging and flip-chip bonding. The process development engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and characterizing the long-term performance of the electrodes (including impedance and electrochemical properties). The design engineer will also be responsible for the development of implantable polymer and titanium hermetic packages. Ideal candidates should have significant process development, micro-fabrication, and experience and be comfortable working on precision devices using a stereo microscope.

Successful candidates for this position should be hands-on and have direct experience working with vendors. Candidates must be able to anticipate design and infrastructure needs and work independently with limited direction. Candidates should have experience driving projects to closure within specified milestones and be flexible on project assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrodes, assembly techniques, fixtures, and processes for manufacturing implantable electrodes for neuromodulation
  • Develop manufacturing and fabrication processes which enable scaling to production volumes
  • Set up accelerated lifetime tests and protocols for electrode characterization
  • Perform biocompatibility, cleaning validation, and sterilization validation
  • Performing micro-molding of silicone structures, assembly of high-density electrodes.
  • Develop 3D CAD drawings in SolidWorks and able to create DXF files in AutoCAD LT
  • Design of hermetic packages and processes for bonding electrodes to precious metals.
  • Developing optomechanical systems on an optical table to perform micro-welding and micro-machining
  • Hands-on fabrication skills (injection molding, lamination pressing, casting, micro-fluidic molding, use of cleanroom equipment)
  • Perform micro-welding of precision wires to electrode contacts
  • Characterize the electrochemistry impedance and cyclic-voltammetry properties of electrodes using a Gamry or AutoLabs Potentiostat.
  • Ability to source, solicit, and manage vendors to obtain hardware components (such as ceramic parts, 3D prints, leads, electrodes, etc)
  • Documentation for design history file, device master file, and device master record.
  • Familiarity with ISO13485 and Six Sigma is a plus.

Other important factors:

  • Candidates must be able to lead mechanical engineering tasks and drive technical tasks and projects to closure within specified milestones with limited direction.
  • Development of tiny parts with micro-scale features is essential (use of a stereo-microscope and excellent dexterity is necessary)
  • Successful candidates must be able to multi-task with minimal work direction
  • Successful candidates must work effectively as part of a team
