Dr. Noor Jailkhani is a Research Scientist in the lab of Prof. Richard Hynes at MIT. She received her PhD in Immunology from the International Center For Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), where her research focused on using RNAi screening and protein-protein interaction network analysis to understand signaling networks regulating the cell cycle. After training briefly at the Center for Cancer Systems Biology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, she joined the Koch Institute for her postdoctoral research where she was awarded the Mazumdar-Shaw international oncology fellowship. The focus of her research is to understand the role of the tumor microenvironment, specifically the ECM in metastases and exploit targets in the tumor microenvironment for imaging and therapy using nanobody-based methods. Currently, she is developing nanobody-based immunotherapies for solid tumors and their metastases.
