About Miela
Miela Gross is a first-year PhD student in MIT's department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Prior to MIT, she completed her Bachelor's in Physics at the University of California Berkeley. During her time at Berkeley, she gained a wide range of research experiences that helped her decide to pursue spintronics. Now she studies the magnetic properties of rare earth iron garnets for applications in spintronic devices under Professor Caroline Ross in the department of Materials Science and Engineering. Outside of her research, Miela enjoys baking, running, yoga, and playing with her cat, Scribbles.
