Each Spring, MITii works with MIT Admissions to host an event during Campus Preview Weekend (CPW).
In 2018 we started the Innovation World’s Fair in DuPont Gymnasium. The event celebrates innovation at MIT and showcases the breadth and depth of innovation and entrepreneurship resources to students who aspire to move ideas to impact. Admitted students and their families are invited to experience the MIT Innovation Community through three main themes augmented with food, games, and prizes. Visitors learn about the diverse range of projects by MIT innovators and entrepreneurs and see demos & presentations, talk to representatives from the wide range of centers, programs, and student groups focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, tinker with equipment, and get hands-on with MIT’s making culture.
When CPW went virtual due to COVID-19, partnered with MIT Admissions, and corralled the I&E Community to create virtual events for CPW. I&E Virtual CPW was the digital home base to showcase resources, highlight student innovation stories, and welcome accepted students into MIT’s entrepreneurial community.
