Hosted by: ETH Entrepreneur Club & MIT Innovation Initiative

INCUBE is a unique experience that gives students the opportunity to travel on the entrepreneurial journey from problem-finding to ideation to prototyping to pitching, all while enclosed in a glass cube.

Building on the success of last year’s event, the ETH Entrepreneur Club is conducting this experiment for a second time. This year, INCUBE is expanding from Zurich to other cities across Switzerland, including Bern, Lausanne and St. Gallen, and in Boston where MIT will host the first international cube. Summing up to five in total, each of the cubes will be home and workplace to five bright minds coming up with crazy ideas for the next big startup.

Participants will spend four days from September 21 to September 24 in a cube located on the MIT campus, creating a niche problem to solve, ideating on a solution, building a prototype and business model, and pitching to a jury and a live audience during the final event (for logistics reasons, the pitch from the MIT team will be recorded and shown at the finale in Switzerland). Throughout the journey, students will be assisted by a cube facilitator, relevant experts and successful entrepreneurs, and have access to all materials and aids.

Come along on the journey and see from the outside how five MIT students take an idea from conception to impact over the course of four days while living and working in a cube on campus.
