Milena is a Venture Investor at Germin8 Ventures. Milena covers many aspects of Germin8’s operations, including sourcing, research, evaluation and execution of potential investments. Additionally, she actively supports portfolio companies with strategic advice and leads special projects that unlock value for Germin8 and strategic partners. Over the past 8+ years, Milena has worked at the intersection of technology, strategy and operations to incubate new ideas, optimize product positioning and drive growth for digital platforms in numerous food and non-food technology verticals.
Prior to joining Germin8 Ventures, Milena led product experimentation and platform optimization at Spotify. Before her time at the music streaming giant, Milena led growth operations for ScoreBeyond (acquired by LinkedIn), a Silicon Valley-based education technology platform on a mission to democratize test prep access. Before that, Milena led business development and strategy for SideChef, a smart kitchen mobile app that makes cooking easy through its proprietary digital technology. Milena began her career as an entrepreneur, successfully launching a gourmet food retail concept. Milena is passionate about helping visionary founders transform the food system through breakthrough technologies. Aside from working with the exceptional founders of the Germin8 portfolio companies, Milena is an active advisor to startups in The University of Chicago Booth School of Business New Venture Challenge and at the Harvard Innovations Lab, as well as to student-founded startups at LaunchX.
Milena holds a masters from Harvard University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
