Join us for our virtual generator. Share your ideas. Find a team.
The MIT IDEAS Virtual Generator is one of the best venues to join or build a social impact team and to connect with those passionate about solving complex societal and environmental challenges.
Pitch Your Idea or Skill
During the event, we will have openings for pitches from attendees.
You can sign up to pitch an idea or your skills when you register for this event until Wednesday, October 12. Those selected to pitch will be notified that they have been selected as pitch candidates by Friday, October 14, and will be supplied with instructions and additional information on the pitch process.
Note: Pitching is optional! If you don’t want to pitch, just attend to mix and mingle, meet potential teammates, or hear about some of the exciting projects already underway.
About the Challenge
Teams must be led by a full-time MIT student with MIT students making significant contributions to the project’s innovation. However, teams can include anyone from around the world. If you are looking to join an IDEAS team that needs your skill set or are simply interested in learning more about how to get involved, join the conversation and help move ideas towards realization whether you are an MIT student or not.
IDEAS projects can address issues in one or more sectors, such as health, education, agriculture, energy and environment, water, finance and entrepreneurship, mobile technology, and housing and transportation anywhere in the world.
About the Series
The Inclusive Innovation Series pulls together events and initiatives organized by MIT’s innovation and entrepreneurship community around intersecting topics of diversity, equity, inclusion, innovation, and entrepreneurship. By convening the community around these important topics inside MIT’s newest home for innovators, MIT Office of Innovation aims to increase the ecosystem’s accessibility to communities historically underrepresented in innovation, entrepreneurship & STEM. We know the world’s most pressing issues require breakthrough innovations from diverse teams, and we believe these teams can meet and discover the rich resources of the I&E ecosystem through this series.
