Three principals from an MIT Lincoln Labs startup company, Applicon, will describe their wild ride in the 1970s, during which time their company grew to a $230 million evaluation in 12 years. The company’s four founders were emboldened by hearing Ed Roberts, of the Sloan School, report on a study that showed 80% of the startups originating from Lincoln by MIT were still in business after five years. Not bad odds.
