Opportunity

Sponsored by: Minority Business Association

The Minority Business Association (MBA) is starting spring recruitment. MBA aims to educate and empower underrepresented minorities at MIT who are interested in entrepreneurial ventures, business oriented careers like finance and consulting sectors, or are simply passionate about the field.

  • Network: MBA is currently in talks with top companies that would like to tap into the talent of the MIT community. As a minority focused group, they have access to traditional summer internships, as well as special opportunities for minorities in business that can range from 1 day to 10 weeks in length.
  • Grow: With senior members that have worked for the likes of Bain, BCG, NASDAQ, Accenture Strategy, Google, and Microsoft PM programs, they offer a range of expertise in some of the hardest industries to penetrate.
  • Give Back: To properly address the systemic issues that justify the need for MBA in the first place, they also promote philanthropic initiatives to give back to communities. As of right now, theuy envision this including outreach programs to minority high school students in the greater Boston area, as well as partnering with companies working with developing communities both in the US and abroad.

The primary purpose of the Minority Business Association is to provide mentorship and opportunities for students of underrepresented groups in business, but they will not solely limit the club to members of these communities. That being said, if you are passionate about the club’s ideals and feel you’d be able to contribute, they’d be happy to hear from you!
