Wenchao Xu is a postdoc in Prof. Vladan Vuletic’s lab. Her research interests are centered on building a quantum computer based on neutral atoms, to perform quantum computation and quantum simulation. Her goal is to realize a fast quantum computer, and to use it to explore problems that cannot be solved by the state-of-art classical computers. Wenchao obtained her doctoral degree in the Department of Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Outside her research, she likes running and reading. She also enjoys traveling around the world and exploring the local cuisines.
