About Yuan

Yuan is currently a postdoc associate at MIT CSAIL, working on finding new digital biomarkers for diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s with artificial intelligence and developing new contactless health monitoring techniques. She obtained her Ph.D. from the HKUST in Electronic and Computer Engineering. She spent a year at the Robotics Institute at CMU, doing research on weakly-supervised video understanding. Her research spans the areas of deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, and AI for healthcare. She is actively involved in the community of new ventures and entrepreneurship, especially innovations in AI, healthcare, and robotics. She is open-minded and curious about wild ideas, discoveries, and technology innovations.
