About the Hult Prize

Recognized by President Bill Clinton and TIME Magazine as one of the top five ideas changing the world for the better, Hult Prize is an international business competition redefining the way we address the most pressing global issues.

This year’s theme is “Refugees — Reawakening Human Potential.” The challenge is to design a sustainable, scalable social enterprise that restores the rights and dignity of 10 million refugees by 2022. This is a unique opportunity to leverage the best of MIT to tangibly improve the lives of people and societies who are forced into motion due to social injustices, politics, economic pressures, climate change and war. Join us and pitch your business idea.

The winning team will be fast-tracked to a regional competition where teams from around the globe present to top-notch judges, mentors and advisers. From there, the regional finalists attend an intensive 8-week summer accelerator program before pitching their game-changing idea to President Clinton. The winning team is awarded with $1M in seed capital to transform their concept into a reality.
