LOCATION: IHQ (E38) 7TH FLOOR HACKER REACTOR

DATE AND TIME: OCTOBER 19TH 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

It can be difficult to meet people from different courses to work on projects and ventures together. The Womxn in Innovation and STEM Mixer will draw students from all courses and programs across campus to mingle in MIT’s newest home for innovators — iHQ. The goal is simple: to encourage collaboration and networking among womxn at MIT, especially across disciplines, to encourage exploration in innovation and entrepreneurship. Attendees do not have to consider themselves innovators to attend. Current and future founders, makers, hackers, and builders are all welcome!

Co-hosted by Black Women’s Alliance, Sloan Women in Management, Graduate Women at MIT, MIT Women Business Leaders and MIT Office of Innovation.

Supported by MIT Mission Innovation X, NE I-Corps, Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneuship at MIT, and MIT Venture Mentoring Service.

*Womxn is meant to signal inclusion of women, transwomen, and nonbinary individuals, regardless of gender expression.

ABOUT THE SERIES

The Inclusive Innovation Series pulls together events and initiatives organized by MIT’s innovation and entrepreneurship community around intersecting topics of diversity, equity, inclusion, innovation, and entrepreneurship. By convening the community around these important topics inside MIT’s newest home for innovators, MIT Office of Innovation aims to increase the ecosystem’s accessibility to communities historically underrepresented in innovation, entrepreneurship & STEM. We know the world’s most pressing issues require breakthrough innovations from diverse teams, and we believe these teams can meet and discover the rich resources of the I&E ecosystem through this series.
