For MIT researchers considering a startup:

  • Explore taking new technology to the marketplace
  • Get entrepreneurial training, support, and learn how to apply for $50,000
  • Increase chances of receiving an SBIR/STTR award

The National Science Foundation has developed training aimed specifically at researchers. It is “Scientific Method meets Entrepreneurship” and helps researchers better understand why technology has value and to whom. The MIT I-Corps program is an initiative of the MIT Venture Mentoring Service.

Faculty, staff and students working on any STEM-related technology anywhere at MIT can apply.
