About Leah

Leah Ellis is an electrochemist with a passion for translational science and cleantech. She is currently working with Prof. Yet-Ming Chiang, at MIT, to develop electrochemical systems for making cement. She did her PhD on lithium-ion batteries with Jeff Dahn, in collaboration with 3M and Tesla. Before her PhD, she cycled the length of Africa, 12,000km, from Cairo to Cape Town.
