About Lingyan

Lingyan Deng, currently a postdoc associate at MIT Energy Initiative, is passionate on decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries including iron and steel, cement, copper, aluminum, pulp, chemical plants, etc. She is eager to grasp the decarbonization effort, technologies worldwide and contribute her effort to limit the global temperature increase under 1.5 degree C. Outside of research, she is active in organizing social activities such as Sunday badminton, Friday Karaoke, etc. She is open minded and always curious about discoveries, challenges, progress in other areas. She enjoy talk with people from different research areas, because that always inspire her for wonderful ideas.
